Video: Bumper Crops: Nitrogen Stabilizers
Watch as Dan and Michael discuss the use of nitrogen stabilizers. Here is an excerpt. "There's three main types of nitrogen stabilizers we think about. The first would be urease Inhibitors. So what urease Inhibitors do is they prevent urease from breaking urea down into ammonia gas, which releases it into the atmosphere. There's nitrification inhibitors which prevent ammonia from being nitrified into nitrite, and then nitrate in the field which can be lost through water. And then the third type would be a polymer coating product which can extend that release of nitrogen by kind of activating over time."
