At Ewetopia Farms, we spend the day around our farm getting prepared for spring. Although technically spring is already here, only recently has it felt that way. Spring planting is around the corner, so as always, it is important to get organized around the farm so that once planting starts, everything on the farm is running smoothly. So today, we got more sheep pens organized by putting in a playbox for the lambs and arranging fencing so that we can alternate groups of lambs going out to pasture. Moldy old hay bales were put on wagons and taken to our back fields as compost. While out there, we checked to see if the soil was ready for imminent planting. The cultivator was repaired. And we discussed sheep and lambs going to pasture as we watched a new group of lambs as they went outside to explore..
