Mark Lorenz’s childhood memories include living on a farm near Airdrie, Alta., where his family raised and trained purebred Morgan horses. He recorded his first song at the age of 17 after some friends dared him to go into a recording studio in Calgary.
Lorenz wrote “When the Smoke Clears” a song about the wildfires in Fort McMurray, Alta., in 2016. All proceeds from the song went to the Canadian Red Cross for community relief efforts.
