This breed is native to the U.S. and is a mix between the Africander, Hereford, Angus and Santa Gertrudis cattle breeds. The creation of the Barzona breed happened in Arizona in the 1940s. A couple wanted to create a breed that could withstand the climate in their state, while still producing quality beef. Barzona cattle are red in colour and are intelligent animals.
