Agri-Food Innovation Expo - Building Your Toolkit for Growth

The Agri-Food Innovation Expo 2024 will take place from November 26 to 28 at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta.

The event will feature a robust lineup of keynote speakers and aims to support businesses in Alberta's agri-food sector by encouraging innovation, diversification, and economic growth.

The central theme of the Expo is to provide businesses with practical tools and insights to help them “build their agri-food toolkit.”

A key highlight of the event is the announcement of Christine Gould as a keynote speaker. Gould is an award-winning entrepreneur and leader in agri-food innovation, well known for her work in advancing sustainable solutions.

Christine Gould is currently building GIGA, a venture aimed at scaling innovative solutions that can both nourish the planet and combat climate change.

Gould is also the founder of Thought For Food, a global community of agri-food innovators, supporting 30,000 entrepreneurs in over 180 countries.

“I’m thrilled to be returning to Canada, a global leader in agri-food innovation and production," Gould said, "In my talk, I'll delve into yet-untapped innovation opportunities—opportunities where industry leaders and entrepreneurs can collaborate to unleash trillions of dollars in value for food systems that are economically prosperous, environmentally sustainable, and socially inclusive.”

In addition to Gould, the keynote program will feature other prominent industry leaders. Peter Chapman, President of SKUFood, will discuss the importance of focusing on innovation, especially when consumers are demanding lower prices.

Jo-Ann McArthur, President of Nourish Food Marketing, will explore future trends in the agri-food sector.

"Agri-Food Innovation Expo is the future when it comes to food security solutions in Canada and beyond," said Kim Gallucci, CEO of Lethbridge & District Exhibition. "With Lethbridge already home to many thriving agri-food businesses, we’re excited to continue fostering innovation and collaboration through this event."

The Agri-Food Innovation Expo provides an ideal platform for small and medium-sized businesses in the agri-food industry to gain valuable knowledge, tools, and partnerships.
