Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show kicks off Tuesday, September 15th

Show will run until Thursday, September 17th

Beginning on Tuesday, September 15th, farmers from across Ontario and the United States will descend on Woodstock, Ontario for the largest outdoor farm show in Canada – Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show.

The show acts as a one stop shop for farmers and features live demonstrations and hundreds of vendors while keeping a family friendly and inviting atmosphere.

The show will have many new features for 2015 including:

Ontario Dairy Goat Co-Op (ODGC) Live Goat Milking Demo

Goat farmers and farmers interested in goat farming are invited to visit the ODGC booth to have their questions answered and learn more about the goat industry. Daily milking demonstrations will take place at the EastGen Dairy Pavilion at 11:00am and 2:00pm.

Vogelsang Manure Dribble Bar Demo

German manufactuer Vogelsang, in partnership with Farm & Food Care, OMAFRA and Husky Farm Equipment will showcase a 50ft “dribble bar”. The bar can be attached to many spreaders and can help with environmentally friendly solutions to broadcast manure applications. There will be demonstrations held at 11:00am and 2:30pm at the Dribble Bar Exhibit, located on North Mall.

Soil Stabilizer Demo

G.B. Equipments will demonstrate how the SFM soil stabilizer for farm tractors. Attendees of the demo will be able to witness how the machine creates fine mulch which farmers can incorporate into the soil immediately. By doing so, it helps prepare a perfect seed bed. Demonstrations will be held daily at 11:30am and 3:30pm on 6th Lane South.
