Canada’s Farm Progress Show Innovation Program Deadline is May 3, 2019

Do you have a new agriculture product or service you recently designed for the agriculture industry?  Do you have a challenge on the farm which prompted you to create a product or service you would love to share with other farmers?

Many of the innovative agriculture products and services listed below, got their start when farmers and agri-business owners wanted to make on-farm life easier.

  • Mixmate created by the Applegates (Brent, Luke and Doug) & Praxidyn
  • Engage Zone Control created by Intelligent AG Solutions
  • Fuel Lock created by Landon Fahlman & IntraGrain Technologies Inc.

If you think your new agriculture innovation is worthy of entry into the program, the deadline for the 2019 Innovation Program is May 3, 2019, and you must be an exhibitor at the CFPS. Innovation program entries also need to be relevant and specifically related to the agriculture industry and should be about a novel or new concept or idea.  The innovation needs to be viewable in the form of either a prototype or commercially produced product. This new concept needs to have been developed within the past two years.  There are two types of entries, New Equipment Innovation and New Service Innovation.

“Canada’s Farm Progress Show is the country’s largest agricultural show, and one of the core elements is innovation that brings improvements and efficiency to agricultural production,” says Janeczko. “We have qualified buyers who attend the show each year specifically to see what’s new in the industry and to talk to manufacturers who are displaying their innovations.”

In addition to the seven Gold Standard winners, there were also 8 Sterling Standard Award winners for the 2018 Gold Standard Award that included AGCO Corporation’s Ideal Combine Harvester, the Bourgault Tillage BTT Weed Clipper, Duck Foot, Ultralift Power Tool, FarmTRX, Intelligent Ag Solutions Recon Spreadsense, Todd Hoffman & Shulte Industries DHX-600, and Healthy Homesteader Store it Safe.
