Canada Post Strike disrupts Better Farming Ontario Magazine Distribution

The December issue of Better Farming Ontario has been held up, like many publications, by the Canada Post strike.

Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA), which provides their members with a Better Farming subscription, has graciously agreed to share the digital version of the December Better Farming Ontario issue immediately (there is normally a delay).

“In our Digging Deeper department this month, we have an extensive look at farmer 'to-do' lists for the winter months ahead,” says Better Farming Ontario’s publisher Paul Nolan.

Farms.com encourages everyone to support their local ag retailers during this difficult time of postal strikes and economic pressure. As you are flipping through the digital version of Better Farming Ontario, when you come across an advertisement where you would like to learn more about the vendor’s products, you just need to click the ad and you will be connected to the advertiser’s website imeediately.

If you are not an OFA member, but like what you see, you can subscribe to Better Farming Ontario here, the postal strike will be over at some point.

Treating Sheep For Lice!

Video: Treating Sheep For Lice!

So, we ran the Suffolk and Dorset breeding groups through the chutes and treated them all. This treatment will have to be done again in two weeks to make sure any eggs that hatched are destroyed too. There was a lot of moving of sheep from pen to pen around the sheep barn but by all the hopping and skipping the sheep were doing, I think they enjoyed the day immensely! We hope you do too!
