Farm Bureau pledges support for U.S. agriculture’s future
The American Farm Bureau Federation extended its congratulations to the newly elected President of the United States.

The Farm Bureau also expressed eagerness to collaborate with leaders in Congress to enhance American agriculture and address challenges facing rural communities. According to the Farm Bureau, strengthening the backbone of agriculture will require prioritizing several key issues.

“Farm Bureau congratulates President-elect Donald Trump on his election to lead our great nation, as well as the representatives and senators elected to serve in the 119th Congress.

We are committed to working with our nation’s leaders to strengthen agriculture and rural America, and we look forward to continuing that work in the days ahead.”

One immediate priority for the Farm Bureau is addressing the long-overdue farm bill, which has faced delays of over two years. The organization emphasized that rural families rely on this support, and the delay has created uncertainty for farmers. Another major concern is the anticipated increase in taxes, which could severely impact farmers already grappling with high supply costs, inflation, and market instability.

With labor shortages and escalating costs also on farmers’ minds, the Farm Bureau noted that these issues need prompt attention to safeguard the stability and growth of rural America.

The organization stands ready to work closely with the new administration to resolve these challenges, aiming for policies that will help rural communities prosper.

“There is no shortage of critical issues requiring immediate attention and Farm Bureau stands ready to work with our elected leaders to tackle them. Clearing hurdles for America’s farmers and ranchers will contribute to the strength and continued growth of the entire nation.”

As the Farm Bureau looks forward to working with the President-elect, it remains committed to ensuring that rural communities across the U.S. thrive under this new leadership.
