Great Plains Manufacturing has recently announced a significant update to its Terra-Max and Turbo-Max tillage lines.

Offered on its 20’ and 25’ versions, you can expect its new narrow transport feature.

Doug Stucky with Great Plains recently chatted with Farms.com about this new offering.

This update is designed to help you navigate through narrow roads and gates.

The models maintain all the robust features you would expect from Great Plains, with the addition of a transport width of just 11 feet 6 inches.

This compact size makes it ideal for moving between fields through smaller passageways that are typically a challenge for larger machinery.

One of the standout features of the Terra-Max line is its adjustable gang angle.

Adjustments can be made from zero to eight degrees on the front gangs and zero to six degrees on the rear gangs, allowing for versatile soil management that can be tailored to specific crop needs.

This adjustability allows for precise soil engagement, which is essential for effective tillage. Slightly concave disc blades are also available on the Terra-Max and Turbo-Max lines, which enhance its soil mixing capabilities, making it more efficient during fieldwork.

Rear attachments include rolling spike harrows and the newly introduced chopper reel.

The chopper reel is particularly beneficial in binding conditions as it effectively secures crop residue to the soil, improving moisture retention and soil health.

For those seeking a perfect seedbed, the rolling spike harrows provide an excellent finish, preparing the soil ideally for spring planting.

Great Plains also integrates modern technology into their equipment with the Implement Command System (ICS).

This system enables operators to control various aspects of the machine directly from their tractor, including depth adjustment, wing down pressure, gang angle monitoring, and rear attachment management.

Stucky explains more about this new narrow transport offering and the features of the Terra-Max/Turbo-Max lines in the below video.
