Advanced Liquid Applicator with Multiple Sizes and Injection Options

The Blu-Jet 15 Series liquid fertilizer applicators are designed to provide efficient and precise nutrient application.

Available in tank sizes ranging from 1,000 to 1,700 gallons, these applicators cater to different farm sizes and application needs.

Andy Unverferth, director of marketing for Unverferth Manufacturing (owner of Blu-Jet), recently sat down with Farms.com to discuss recent upgrades to the 15 Series.

With a variety of toolbar sizes, farmers can select the right unit for their fields, explained Unverferth.

The standard model comes with a ground drive pump, but an optional hydraulic pump is available for those seeking enhanced control and performance.

To ensure flexibility, the applicators offer two types of injectors—nozzle injectors and knife injectors—allowing farmers to choose the best method for their soil and crop conditions.

One of the key highlights of the 15 Series is its newly designed row unit, which features a horizontal spring capable of exerting 1,500 lbs of down pressure. This ensures consistent fertilizer placement for optimal crop absorption.

Another innovative feature is the split-apply application option. This allows operators to apply fertilizer both on top of the soil near the plant roots and in the center of the row simultaneously.

The system is flexible, enabling farmers to use both hoses and injectors at the same time or selectively apply fertilizer through one method by adjusting the valves.

These features make the Blu-Jet 15 Series an excellent choice for farmers looking to enhance efficiency and precision in fertilizer application.

Andy Unverferth provides an overview of the 15 Series in the video below.
