Penta Equipment recently introduced its new 1240 mixer to increase productivity and efficiency on large farms.

This latest innovation is part of its 40 Series, which are designed to be stronger, heavier offering on the market.

Penta Equipment’s chief operating officer, Trevor Newman, spoke with Farms.com about this new lineup.

The 1240 mixer stands out with its stainless steel conveyor and a two-speed automatic transmission at the front, enhancing the machine's durability and functionality.

Significant improvements include advanced hose routing and scale technology, making the mixer not only more robust but also better suited for market needs.

One of the key features of the 1240 mixer is its undercarriage, equipped with excellent suspension capable of handling heavy feed loads daily. This durability ensures that you can rely on the mixer for your everyday operations without concerns about wear and tear.

The 1240 series also has a unique, patent-pending tub design. This mixer includes an inside liner made of quarter-inch stainless steel that facilitates uniform mixing of feed.

Moreover, the mixer's augers have an overlapping design in the center, allowing for effective front-to-back mixing—a feature not commonly seen in the industry, added Newman.

Penta's focus on innovation is driven by feedback from farmers, which has significantly shaped the advancements from the previous 30 Series to the new 40 Series.

This year, Penta is excited to launch various models within the 40 Series, ranging from the large 1240 model to smaller 300 cubic foot mixers, all of which are set to hit the market in 2024.

These mixers are expected to set new standards in the livestock feed mixing landscape.
