2020 CFA Annual General Meeting

Join the premier gathering for agriculture at the 2020 CFA AGM 
 
The 2020 CFA AGM, hosted this year from February 25-26 at the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, ON, brings together more than 200 delegates and observers to explore policy issues and industry priorities. This year’s theme is “Producing Prosperity for the Next Decade”, continuing the same message of last year as CFA builds on its Producing Prosperity in Canada campaign.
 
This year’s AGM will be kicking off with the Welcome Reception hosted by Spirit’s Canada on February 24th from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at 81 Metcalfe Street.
 
The AGM draws a wide range of participants, including farm and agricultural industry leaders, government and industry representatives, elected officials and national media.
 
Our 2020 agenda examines industry trends and looked at upcoming challenges and opportunities in the sector. A strong focus on the future of the sector in looking at new technologies and consumer expectations. The second annual Brigid Rivoire Award for Champions of Agricultural Mental Health will be presented at the AGM to a program or initiative doing good work in agricultural mental health.

Farming often goes on well into the night. In today's sheep farming vlog, we finish baling hay in the dark so that we can start wrapping the hay first thing in the morning. Meanwhile, back at the farm, I head out to the sheep barns to complete the nightly sheep chores which includes feeding bottle lambs their milk, kicking in the day's hay to the sheep, making sure all the sheep are in the barns for the night, and locking all the gates to prevent predators getting in to the paddocks and barns at night.
