Canadian Grains Commission release revisions to grain grading guide

The Canadian Grain Commission has released revisions to the 2023 Official Grain Grading Guide. The Official Grain Grading Guide is a complete reference on grading grains, oilseeds and pulses.

It has been reviewed and adjusted for the 2023-24 crop year to incorporate changes to grade specifications and tolerance levels. Changes are recommended by the Western and Eastern grain standards committees based on findings of previous years. The guide is also reviewed/revised for definitions and grading procedures.

Updates to the Official Grain Grading Guide came into effect August 1st for the 2023-24 crop year.

Of note in this update, is the clarity provided in determining dockage for canola for export. For the full list of revision for 2023, visit the Canadian Grain Commission @grainsCanada.gc.ca.
