Dairy farmers gathered in Winnipeg this week for the Manitoba Dairy Conference.
The three-day event, which features meetings, speakers, and a trade show, wraps up on Friday.
David Wiens is chair of Dairy Farmers of Manitoba.
"The opportunity for all these organizations to get producers out for their meetings because there are some that may have come to one or the other, but now they're able to attend both. We make it more of a celebration or bigger conference which really draws interest."
Dairy Farmers of Manitoba, Manitoba Holsteins, and the Manitoba Jersey Cattle Club all hosted Annual General Meetings during the conference.
There was a lot of interest in the speakers Wednesday afternoon, who discussed issues surrounding both human and animal health. Those in attendance also received an update on research from Dr. Kees Plaizier with the University of Manitoba.
An awards banquet was held Thursday night.
