Foodflation fighting tip four perennial crops in the intensive garden

A perennial plant is planted once, and it comes up year after year. What about perennial fruits and veggies? Yup, the same thing, plant once and harvest a crop year after year. Versus an annual crop which must be seeded or replanted every year.

It is beneficial in the intensive garden to have both annual and perennial crops. There are many examples of perennial crops that are harvestable at times of the year that other annual crops are still emerging and maturing. Good examples include rhubarb, asparagus and fiddleheads, all available in spring.
