USDA’s weekly Crop Progress report, Tuesday, shows the nation’s winter wheat crop is 60% planted, 6 points behind this time last year and equal to the five-year average. 31% of the nation’s winter wheat is emerged, 8 points behind this time last year and 4 points behind the five-year average.
U.S. corn condition is 60% good to excellent, 1 point up from last week. Soybean crop condition is 59% good to excellent, 1 point up from last week. Cotton crop conditions at 64% good to excellent, 2 points up from last week. Good to excellent grain sorghum condition is at 55%, 1 point down from last week.
The report shows 94% of the corn crop is mature, 1 point ahead of this time last year and 8 points ahead of the five-year average. 41% of the nation’s corn crop is harvested, 2 points ahead of this time last year and 10 points ahead of the five-year average. The U.S. corn condition rating is 60% good to excellent, up 1 point from last week and 1 point below this time last year.
The Nation’s soybeans dropping leaves is at 91%, 1 point ahead of this time last year and 2 points ahead of the five-year average. So far, 49% of soybeans are harvested, 9 points behind this time last year and 9 points ahead of the five-year average. 59% is rated good to excellent, 1 point ahead of this time last year and 4 points below this time last year.
Cotton bolls opening is at 78%, more than 10 points behind this time last year and 4 points behind the five-year average. Cotton harvested is 20%, 5 points behind this time last year and 6 points behind the five-year average. Good to excellent cotton crop conditions is 64%, up 2 points from last week and more than 20 points up from this time last year.
The U.S. mature grain sorghum is at 88%, equal to this time last year and 9 points ahead of the five-year average. For grain sorghum, 49% is harvested so far, 2 points ahead of this time last year and 7 points ahead of the five-year average. Good to excellent grain sorghum crop condition is 55%, 1 point down from last week and 5 points more than this time last year.
Finally, pasture and range conditions are 24% good to excellent, 31% fair and 45% poor to very poor.

Oklahoma
According to the Oklahoma Crop Progress and Condition report, Oklahoma’s winter wheat is 50% planted and 25% emerged.
Oklahoma corn crop condition is 78% good to excellent, 18% fair and 4% poor to very poor. Corn mature is at 95%. Corn harvested is 60%.
Oklahoma grain sorghum crop condition is 36% good to excellent, 24% fair and 40% poor to very poor. Mature Sorghum is at 89%. Grain sorghum harvested is at 34%.
Oklahoma soybean crop condition is 49% good to excellent, 37% fair and 14% poor to very poor. Soybeans dropping leaves is at 61%. Soybeans harvested is 14%.
Oklahoma cotton crop condition is 66% good to excellent, 28% fair and 6% poor to very poor. Cotton bolls opening is at 85%. Cotton harvested is at 7%.
Pasture and range condition is 28% good, 44% fair and 27% poor to very poor.

Kansas
According to the Kansas Crop Progress and Condition report winter wheat is 63% planted and 31% emerged.
This week’s Kansas corn crop condition percentages are not available. Last week, corn condition rated 52% good to excellent, 27% fair and 21% poor to very poor. Corn mature is 98%. Corn harvested is 66%.
Kansas soybean condition rated 54% good to excellent, 31% fair and 15% poor to very poor. Dropping leaves is 70%. Soybeans harvested is 14%.
Kansas grain sorghum condition rated 54% good to excellent, 31% fair and 15% poor to very poor. Grain sorghum mature is 81%. Grain sorghum harvested is 32%.
Kansas cotton crop condition rated 53% good to excellent, 39% fair and 8% poor to very poor. Cotton bolls opening is 83%. Cotton harvested is 2%.
Kansas pasture and range conditions rated 36% good to excellent, 38% fair and 26% poor to very poor.
