WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue and Kentucky Extension services will present the 2014 Sheep and Goat Webinar on Dec. 10 to give producers tips on managing their lambing and kidding seasons.
The webinar, which will run 7-9 p.m. EST, will be available for viewing at several county Extension offices across Indiana. A list of the counties serving as host sites can be found on the Fulton County Extension website at https://extension.purdue.edu/fulton/.
The webinar is free and open to the public. Three speakers will provide veterinary and small-ruminant expert perspectives on management practices that can be included in a sheep or goat operation to support successful lambing or kidding seasons.

* “Selection and Management to Increase Kidding Season Success,” Kenneth Andries, goat Extension specialist, Kentucky State University.
* “Nutrition and Management in Late Gestation in Ewes and Does,” Mike Neary, Purdue Extension small-ruminant specialist.
* “Dealing with Difficult Births in the Ewe and Doe,” Michael Hill, Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine.
The webinar can be seen live only at the listed host sites; however, it will be archived online after the event on the Purdue Department of Animal Sciences website at https://ag.purdue.edu/ansc.
