Sask Wheat Directors Elected

The Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission Board of Directors is now complete.

The 2021 elected candidates are Robert Stone of Davidson, Scott Hepworth of Assiniboia, Jake Leguee of Weyburn and Brett Halstead of Nokomis.

Each candidate will serve a four-year term and will be joined around the board table by current board members Lesley Kelly of Watrous, Glenn Tait of Meota, and Jocelyn Velestuk of Broadview.

There were 2,466 verified and counted ballots returned for this election. of those, 1,513 producers voted with a paper ballot while 953 producers voted online.

The Sask Wheat AGM will be on Monday, January 10th from 11 am to 12:30 pm in Hall A at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon as part of the Crop Production Show. 

Producers can register here to attend in-person or online.

Registered wheat producers, who are producers who have paid a check-off to Sask Wheat in the previous two crop years (August 1, 2019, to July 31, 2021) and have not requested a refund in the previous crop year, are eligible to vote on motions and introduce and second resolutions.

Voting will be available for those attending online and in-person.
