USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales reductions of 449,200 metric tons for delivery in marketing year 2014/2015--a marketing low--and, which include significant quantities switched to 2015/2016, were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Egypt (55,100 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destination and decreases of 1,700 MT), the Philippines (52,900 MT, including 47,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 500 MT), Japan (34,800 MT), Colombia (15,900 MT, including 15,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the United Kingdom (14,200 MT, including 14,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 100 MT), and Haiti (8,400 MT, including 8,000 MT switched from the French West Indies).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (190,500 MT), the Dominican Republic (133,200 MT), South Korea (115,600 MT), Panama (81,500 MT), Mexico (44,400 MT), Taiwan (43,300 MT), Italy (19,200 MT), El Salvador (12,300 MT), and the French West Indies (8,000 MT).  Net sales of 852,900 MT for 2015/2016 were primarily for unknown destinations (226,900 MT), the Dominican Republic (147,000 MT), South Korea (118,000 MT), Panama (81,800 MT), and Peru (73,000 MT).  Exports of 606,600 MT were up 9 percent from the previous week and 47 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Egypt (115,100 MT), the Philippines (90,400 MT), Japan (77,700 MT), China (60,400 MT), Taiwan (47,600 MT), and Mexico (47,100 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account totaling 200 MT were reported to Italy.  Exports for own account to Italy totaling 700 MT were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 26,600 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 832,500 MT for delivery in 2014/2015 were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 33 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (353,500 MT, including 131,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 90,100 MT), Saudi Arabia (146,000 MT, including 136,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (89,300 MT, including 35,800 MT switched from Colombia and decreases of 48,800 MT), South Korea (66,100 MT), Colombia (27,100 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 7,600 MT), and the Dominican Republic (26,700 MT, including 23,500 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for Nicaragua (400 MT).  Net sales of 113,300 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Japan (100,300 MT), unknown destinations (12,400 MT), and Nicaragua (500 MT).  Exports of 1,269,300 MT were up 22 percent from the previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (341,000 MT), Japan (179,200 MT), Saudi Arabia (146,000 MT), South Korea (132,300 MT), and Colombia (119,500 MT).

Barley: Net sales of 6,000 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Japan.  Exports of 100 MT were reported to South Korea. 

Sorghum: Net sales of 6,200 MT for 2014/2015 resulted as increases for China (64,200 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (58,000 MT).  Net sales of 273,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for China (218,000 MT) and unknown destinations (55,000 MT).  Exports of 160,700 MT were down 26 percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.

Rice:  Net sales of 112,800 MT for 2014/2015 were up 72 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Libya (22,000 MT), Haiti (20,500 MT), South Korea (17,000 MT), Colombia (14,900 MT), and Mexico (12,100 MT).  Exports of 58,100 MT were down 25 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Colombia (34,800 MT), Haiti (10,000 MT), Mexico (3,600 MT), Canada (2,700 MT), and Jordan (1,700 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 300 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 433,400 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (199,300 MT), unknown destinations (80,400 MT), Pakistan (65,900 MT), Japan (36,000 MT, including 21,300 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Taiwan (28,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for Malaysia (20,000 MT).   Net sales reductions of 118,500 MT for 2015/2016 resulted as increases for Malaysia (15,000 MT) and Japan (500 MT), were more than offset by decreases for China (134,000 MT).  Exports of 264,200 MT were up 70 percent from the previous week, but down 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (94,800 MT), Pakistan (65,900 MT), Japan (29,700 MT), Indonesia (26,800 MT), and Canada (10,500 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, decreases in optional origin sales totaling 150,700 MT were reported for China.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 505,400 MT, all China.  For 2015/2016, new optional origin sales totaling 55,000 MT were reported for China.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 55,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 134,700 MT for 2014/2015 were up 25 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for unknown destinations (32,900 MT), the Dominican Republic (24,200 MT, including 9,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,000 MT), Colombia (11,600 MT), Panama (8,900 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Japan (8,300 MT, including 6,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 100 MT), and Guatemala (8,100 MT).  Decreases were reported for Ecuador (1,600 MT) and Bangladesh (100 MT).  Net sales of 2,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for the Dominican Republic (1,800 MT) and Canada (700 MT).  Exports of 295,700 MT were up 73 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Thailand (49,500 MT), Venezuela (41,000 MT), Mexico (39,900 MT), Ecuador (31,400 MT), the Dominican Republic (29,000 MT) and Peru (19,700 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 7,300 MT for 2014/2015 were up 65 percent from the previous week, but down 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (6,600 MT) and Canada (500 MT).  Net sales of 24,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico.  Exports of 6,000 MT were down 51 percent from the previous week and 67 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (5,400 MT) and Canada (500 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 124,200 RB for 2014/2015 were down 14 percent the previous week, but up significantly from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (46,200 RB, including 1,700 RB switched from South Korea, 100 RB switched from Japan, and decreases of 1,700 RB), China (19,800 RB, including 2,200 RB switched from Indonesia and decreases of 100 RB), South Korea (15,400 RB), Turkey (14,800 RB), Taiwan (7,200 RB), and Pakistan (6,700 RB).   Decreases were reported for Indonesia (1,100 RB) and unknown destinations (300 RB).  Net sales of 42,900 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Mexico (29,000 RB), China (8,800 RB), and Japan (8,200 RB).  Decreases were reported for South Korea (7,500 RB).   Exports of 285,300 RB were down 12 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (73,700 RB), Vietnam (52,300 RB), Turkey (33,700 RB), Indonesia (23,300 RB), and Mexico (15,900 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 10,200 RB for 2014/2015 were down 62 percent from the previous week and 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (4,100 RB), Peru (4,100 RB), India (500 RB), and Indonesia (500 RB, including 200 RB switched from China).  Exports of 4,800 RB were down 28 percent from the previous week and 60 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (2,600 RB), India (900 RB), Germany (800 RB), and Bangladesh (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account: The current exports for own account balance is 46,500 RB, and is for China (43,000 RB) and Turkey (3,500 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 410,400 pieces for 2015, all whole cattle hides, were down 19 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (259,700 pieces), South Korea (87,300 pieces), Thailand (27,100 pieces), and Mexico (23,800 pieces).  Exports of 459,000 pieces were up 4 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 455,600 pieces were primarily to China (320,900 pieces), South Korea (89,000 pieces), Thailand (17,000 pieces), and Mexico (10,500 pieces).

Net sales of 84,700 wet blues for 2015 were down 55 percent from the previous week and 46 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (71,200 unsplit and 10,500 grain splits), Vietnam (23,500 unsplit), and Japan (4,600 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Taiwan (6,500 grain splits and 5,700 unsplit), South Korea (5,400 unsplit and 3,800 grain splits), Italy (8,000 unsplit), Vietnam (5,300 grain splits), and India (1,300 unsplit).  Exports of 168,200 wet blues were primarily to China (47,700 unsplit and 5,700 grain splits), Italy (25,200 unsplit), Mexico (18,800 grain splits and 2,100 unsplit), and Vietnam (11,300 unsplit and 7,300 grain splits).  Net sales reductions of splits totaling 24,800 pounds for 2015 resulted as increases for Taiwan (1,349,300 pounds), China (182,400 pounds), and Italy (10,100 pounds), were more than offset by decreases for South Korea (1,566,600 pounds).  Exports of 1,008,000 pounds were reported to South Korea (817,400 pounds), Hong Kong (150,000 pounds), and Taiwan (40,600 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 12,400 MT for 2015 were down 38 percent from the previous week, but up 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Hong Kong (2,600 MT), Mexico (2,500 MT), Japan (2,000 MT), South Korea (2,000 MT), and Taiwan (1,500 MT).  Exports of 10,800 MT were down 7 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,100 MT), South Korea (2,300 MT), Hong Kong (1,400 MT), Mexico (1,400 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 24,600 MT for 2015 were up 9 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (11,300 MT), Japan (3,500 MT), Canada (2,900 MT), South Korea (2,500 MT), and the Philippines (1,100 MT).  Exports of 19,800 MT were down 3 percent from the previous week and 5 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (7,100 MT), Japan (3,200 MT), South Korea (2,900 MT), China (1,700 MT), and Canada (1,400 MT).
