USMEF Media Conference Call Set for Thursday, May 21

The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) will conduct a media conference call on Thursday, May 21 from the USMEF Board of Directors Meeting in San Antonio, Texas. The conference call will begin at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time (7:00 local time) and will feature brief comments from USMEF President and CEO Philip Seng and several of USMEF’s international directors, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Participants should call 1-866-519-2804 and enter passcode 770447. If you are calling from an area that cannot access this toll-free number, please dial 1-719-234-7307 and use the same passcode.

Reporters based in the San Antonio area are encouraged to attend the conference call in person. It will be held in the Frio Room of the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk, located at 123 Losoya Street (front desk phone: 210-222-1234). Highlights include a Wednesday keynote address by CattleFax CEO Randy Blach and an industry perspective panel discussion on Friday featuring National Pork Board CEO Chris Hodges, Cattlemen’s Beef Board CEO Polly Ruhland and American Lamb Board member Greg Ahart, who is vice president of sales for Superior Farms. Alfred Almanza, USDA under secretary for food safety, will also address attendees at Friday’s business session.
