Women in Ag award highlights women’s contribution to industry

Agriculture Financial Services is pleased to announce the return of our Women in Ag Award. This award showcases the women who are making a difference in agriculture in Alberta and helping preserve, nurture and transform this ever-changing sector. Applications for the 2023 Women in Ag Award open January 4, 2023.

“Agriculture is part of the bedrock of Alberta,” said AFSC Board Chair Kelly Smith-Fraser. “It feeds our families, drives industry and innovation, and helps support a growing world.

“Women play a key role on Alberta’s farms, ranches and agribusinesses; however, their contributions can be overlooked. We believe it is important to celebrate their achievements and recognize the perspectives they bring to our industry.”

The Women in Ag Award, now in its second year, acknowledges and honours the passion, dedication and commitment of women in agriculture and agribusiness in Alberta. It also celebrates the growing presence of women in this industry.
