On Nov. 25, 2019, grain farmers in Quebec demonstrated outside of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s constituency office to show frustration over his government’s handling of a rail strike.
A group of producers dumped corn on the steps of Trudeau’s Papineau, Que. office.
More than 3,000 employees at Canadian National, one of the country’s largest railways, had been on strike since July.
Producers, who needed propane to dry grain and heat barns in the fall, were concerned about whether they would receive their deliveries.
The strike ended the next day.
