The Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge 2025 is officially open for applications. This esteemed competition, organized by the American Farm Bureau Federation and Farm Credit, targets entrepreneurs aiming to make a difference in the agricultural sector. As the challenge enters its 11th year, it underscores the importance of innovative solutions to enhance farming efficiency, sustainability, and community well-being.

With a prize pool of $145,000, the challenge aims to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit within the agricultural community. The grand prize winner will walk away with $100,000 to propel their startup to new heights, while other finalists also stand to win substantial awards for their contributions.

The journey begins with an online application due by June 15, followed by the announcement of ten semi-finalists on September 3. These teams will advance to a virtual pitch round, striving to break into the final four. The climax of the competition is a live pitch event at the AFBF Convention in January 2025 in San Antonio, Texas, where the ultimate winners will be decided.

Success stories from past challenges, such as Barn Owl Precision Agriculture and NORDEF, highlight the transformative potential of these innovations in the agricultural sector. The challenge not only provides financial backing but also a platform for visibility and networking with key industry stakeholders.

Participants must be Farm Bureau members, a requirement ensuring that the challenge remains rooted in the agricultural community it aims to serve. Information on joining the Farm Bureau is available for interested applicants. This challenge represents a pivotal opportunity for ag-tech entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations and contribute to a vibrant, forward-looking agricultural industry.
