For the love of farming – a contest!

Help us celebrate Canada’s Agriculture Day by telling us why your farm life is so great!

By Denise Faguy, Farms.com

We love farming, and we know you love it, too. But what specifically do you love about farming?

Farms.com is hosting a Twitter only contest: #ForTheLoveofFarming.

Running from January 28 to February 9 @ 11:59 PM, this fun contest is just one part of many activities we have planned to celebrate Agriculture Day February 22, 2022.

Post a tweet with a photo or video that conveys why you love farming.  Be sure to include the hashtag: #ForTheLoveofFarming.

No expletives, please, even though we know farming is awesome.  We want the whole family to be able to enjoy the videos and tweets.

Your pictures and videos will help us produce a #ForTheLoveOfFarming series of articles leading up to Canada’s Agriculture Day.

To be eligible, Twitter contest entries must:
1.    Post a video explanation, or a photo with explanation, of why you love farming
2.    Use the hashtag: #ForTheLoveofFarming
3.    Tag a Farms.com Twitter account: Ontario (@OntAg) or western Canada (@FarmsPrairies)

Everyone who posts a tweet with the hashtag: #ForTheLoveofFarming and one of the two handles will automatically be entered into the contest, a random draw will be conducted to determine the grand prize winner.  One grand prize will be awarded from entries on the @Ontag Twitter account and one grand prize will be awarded from entries on the @FarmsPrairies account.  Each grand prize winner will be awarded the following prize: one (1) Toque, one (1) Hoodie, and one (1) T-Shirt with unique I Love Farming design, as well as a $100 Peavey Mart Gift Card. (Estimated grand prize value of $250.)

Winners will be announced on Valentine’s Day!

Contest is only open to farmers. Must be age of majority in your province to be eligible to win the contest.
