3) Alta. meat processor has licence suspended

Beef

Bouvry Exports, a meat processor based out of Fort Macleod, Alta., had its license suspended by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

The CFIA took this measure because the company failed to comply with multiple rules set out in the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations, including some related to E. coli detection.

The suspension came into effect on Feb. 17 and will last at least 90 days, or until May 18, 2022.
