UFA Invites the Community to Its New Red Deer Location

United Farmers of Alberta Co-operative Ltd. (UFA) is thrilled to invite the community to the grand opening of its newly relocated Farm & Ranch Supply store and Cardlock in Red Deer.

The celebration will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024, starting at 7:30 a.m., and will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony with special guests, including Hon.

Earl Dreeshen, M.P. for Red Deer – Mountain View, and Red Deer County Mayor Wood. The new store is conveniently in Gasoline Alley West, providing easy access for drivers on the QE2 and Highway 2A.

The grand opening event promises more than just a new location. UFA has prepared exclusive deals available in-store from August 23 to August 25, while supplies last.

Attendees will also have the exciting opportunity to enter a draw to win a John Deere Gator, sourced from the local Brandt dealer. This event marks a significant milestone for UFA, which has been a vital part of the Red Deer community for over six decades.

Scott Bolton, President & CEO of UFA, expressed enthusiasm about the new location, emphasizing the co-operative's commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

He acknowledged the long-standing relationship between UFA and the Red Deer community, highlighting that this new store will continue to serve local farmers and ranchers with the same dedication that has set UFA apart for 63 years.

The new facility includes a 16,000-square-foot Farm Store with an expansive yard, an on-site chem shed, and a three-bay drive-through warehouse for easy product pickup.

The modernized Cardlock features high-speed pumps, wide lanes, and UFA's exclusive Dieselex® Gold premium diesel offering. With this addition, Red Deer now boasts four UFA Cardlock locations, further enhancing service to the agricultural community.

Kevin Hoppins, Board Chair of UFA, reflected on the deep historical connection between UFA and Red Deer, noting that the first Farm Store opened in the city in 1961.

This new location represents UFA's ongoing investment in the community, ensuring that local farmers and ranchers have access to top-tier facilities and services.

UFA's commitment to the community extends beyond business operations. In support of Ronald McDonald House Charities – Red Deer House, UFA will match all cash donations made during the grand opening event, up to $5,000.

This initiative is part of UFA's broader community investment program, which aims to give back to the areas where its members live and work.

As the new location opens, the old Farm & Ranch Supply store at 43 Petrolia Drive will close on August 23, 2024. The Bar W office and shop will continue to operate from its current location, ensuring ongoing service to the community.
