Canadian Grain Commission Appoints New Chief Grain Inspector

The Canadian Grain Commission has appointed Derek Bunkowsky as the new Chief Grain Inspector for Canada, effective June 24, 2021.

Bunkowsky will be taking over the role from Gino Castonguay, who’s been the Chief Grain Inspector for Canada since 2017. Bunkowsky has significant technical expertise in grain grading in Canada, including over 25 years of progressive experience in the public and private sectors.

The Chief Grain Inspector for Canada position is one of the only positions specified in the Canada Grain Act.
