EPA's Fair Decision Earns AFBF's Praise

The farming community received favorable news when the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) decided against adopting two petitions that would have enforced stricter controls on animal feeding operations. Leading the applause for this resolution was the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF).

Like many others, Zippy Duvall, the AFBF's leader, highlighted the dedication of American farmers. Their dual goal is clear: provide the nation with affordable, safe food and champion sustainable farming methods. With the huge responsibility of nurturing herds and supplying the nation's dietary essentials, the farmer's role is undeniably integral.

The AFBF felt that farmers were being unfairly judged because of the petitions. The EPA's choice showed they value the good work farmers do for the environment. Duvall thanked them on behalf of AFBF.

While this chapter concludes, another begins. The EPA intends to further explore the matter. The AFBF asks the EPA to work together and remember the good things animal feeding operations do for the country's environment.
