Farmers Farmacy® to change their name to Farmers Depot™

CAMBRIDGE, ON— Farmers Farmacy® is pleased to announce that beginning October 1st, 2021, Farmers Farmacy®’s operating name will change and become Farmers Depot™.

The change of name from Farmers Farmacy® to Farmers Depot™ is consistent with the transition of the company’s now 2,000 (plus) line of livestock barn supply products. Back in 1996, when Farmers Farmacy® was first established the much smaller product line consisted mainly of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products. As the industry’s regulatory environment changed over the years, Farmers Farmacy® moved away from the supply of vaccines and other OTC products and into a broad array of livestock barn supplies. The new name for the company, Farmers Depot™ aligns in a clearer manner to the long list of products that it now supplies to the livestock industry.

In recent years, Farmers Depot™ has launched a national expansion plan that has resulted in distribution across the Prairies with weekly customer shipments direct to farms as well as to Farmers Depot™ Order & Pick-Up Points in Winnipeg and Brandon Manitoba as well as in Lethbridge and Red Deer Alberta.

“Farmers Farmacy® takes great pride in serving the Canadian agriculture industry by providing livestock and poultry farmers with an effective way to source the products they need to effectively care for their animals, reduce the need for antibiotics and achieve their production goals. We do this by striving to have great staff with agricultural roots along with carefully selected products which make caring for animals easier and more cost effective. We remain committed to this foundation as we look to the future.” says Jordan Fietje Director, Farmers Depot™

“We want to thank all our loyal customers for their many years of support and look forward to serving them, along with new producers across Canada, under the Farmers Depot™ name.”
