Manitoba Association of Watersheds Announces 2021 Award Winners

The Manitoba Association of Watersheds (MAW) has announced the recipients of the 2021 Watershed District Award and the 2021 Watershed District Builder Award.

Those selected to receive the Watershed District Award have demonstrated good environmental stewardship practices that relate to the vision and mission of MAW.

The recipients of the 2021 Watershed District Awards are:

McDonald Farms, Pembina Valley Watershed District
Gordon & Val Turner, Redboine Watershed District
The Maddess family, Souris River Watershed District
The Vita Community Child Care Centre, Seine Rat Roseau Watershed District

The 2021 Watershed Builder Award recipients have demonstrated outstanding leadership and contribution to the development and achievement of sustainable measures within a specific Watershed or in support of a specific Watershed District program.

The recipients of the 2021 Watershed District Builder Awards are:

Roy Wood, Redboine Watershed District
Cornie Goertzen, Seine Rat Roseau Watershed District

The 2021 Watershed District Award and the 2021 Watershed District Builder Award recipients will be recognized at the 2021 Manitoba Watersheds Conference Awards Banquet on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

The 2021 Watershed Conference was hosted December 6-7.
