PigCHAMP is entering the New Product Tour at the World Pork Expo with its Knowledge Center and PigCHAMP Mobile.

The New Product Tour is a digital competition. Producers can scroll this year’s list of 31 new products and vote for their favorite.

“The Knowledge Center will give both producers and industry professionals the ability to personalize their own dashboard for up to the minute comparisons,” Schae Greenzweig, marketing communications specialist for PigCHAMP, said today.

Knowledge Center makes comparisons “using Statistical Process Control (SPC) charting, their (producers own custom targets and Benchmarking summaries.” The app is customizable to users and easily accessed via the Internet.

Greenzweig also discussed the new mobile service. “The app (available on iOS and Android) gives users the ability to remotely enter data via a device that they likely already have in their pockets. It has the same validation and reporting functionality the our PigCHAMP Reproductive producers rely on daily for real time data.“Users will be able to connect to any Bluetooth devices they’re using in their barns and use the cameras on their phone or tablet to scan and autofill the sows ID,” she added.

PigCHAMP will be at World Pork Expo in Des Moines, IA. Staff will be in the Varied Industries Building on Wednesday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, June 8 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, June 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in booth V577.

Voting for the nation’s favorite new pork product is underway online. Poles close on Friday, June 9 at 12 p.m.
