Rain A Welcome Site In Saskatchewan

Farmers and Ranchers in Saskatchewan got a bit of a reprieve from the dry conditions.

Drew Lerner with World Weather Inc said Thursday that rain across West Central and Southern areas of the province could bring anywhere from three to 14 millimetres of moisture, with the majority of that rain falling from Leader to Swift Current.

He says most of the precipitation Thursday would have occured along and south of a line from north of Kindersley through the Lake Diefenbaker area over towards the Weyburn and Estevan areas.

"There may be a few showers that occurred just to the north of that region, but they will be very brief and light. They'll be some follow up precipitation that will also occur Friday into Saturday morning. That precipitation will be in the northeast part of the region along and east of a line from Meadow Lake through the Davidson area and over towards the Weyburn and Estevan areas. We'll look for another one to five or six millimeters of moisture."

He notes Saskatchewan will see a return to hot, dry conditions next week as temperatures later in the week are expected to reach over 30 degrees.
