Investment will double manufacturing capacity and create new jobs

Oleet Processing, a subsidiary of O&T Farms, has announced a major expansion of its manufacturing facility near Regina, Saskatchewan. The $10 million investment will double the plant's capacity and create new jobs.

O&T Farms is a leading producer of products used for animal health, animal performance, pet food, methane reduction, and Omega-3 foods for humans. The company currently exports 98% of its products to countries such as the USA, Southeast Asia, South America, and the Middle East.

The expansion will enable O&T Farms to process a significantly larger amount of flaxseed, canola, pulses, and alfalfa, most of which will be sourced from Saskatchewan farmers. This will provide farmers with a larger local market for their crops, reducing their reliance on exporting raw grain.

"We are proud to be increasing Saskatchewan-based processing of our raw agricultural products," said Tim Wiens, President of O&T Farms and Oleet Processing. "Value-added production is one of the most important economic drivers for the growth of the Saskatchewan economy."

O&T Farms has been in business in Saskatchewan since 1967 and has a strong track record of economic development. The expansion is expected to create 20+ new jobs and triple the annual economic activity and government revenues generated by the company.

"There is increasing demand worldwide for healthy food, especially as it relates to Omega-3 fatty acids," said Wiens. "We are pioneers and world leaders in producing natural, plant-based Omega-3 fatty acids products that help livestock and consumers alike."

The expansion will also add a new warehouse, maintenance facility, and office. O&T Farms is committed to investing in research and development to continue improving its products and meeting the growing demand for healthy, sustainable food.
