2020 Celebration Of Agriculture Cancelled

The 2020 Celebration of Agriculture has been cancelled.

The event is held in conjunction with the Red River Ex, which has also been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Garth Rogerson is the CEO of the Red River Exhibition Association.

"With the social distancing rules that are in place right now, it's just not possible to have those types of events, so unfortunately we've had to cancel that," he said. "We're partners with the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame, and of course there's implications for them as well. They're looking at potentially pushing those inductions to next year as well."

Rogerson says the 2020 Farm Family of the Year has been selected but will not be announced until next year.
