Farm credit Mid-America sponsors championship tractor pull

Farm Credit Mid-America has been chosen as the presenting sponsor for the Championship Tractor Pull, hosted annually by Kentucky Venues. Recognized as the nation's premier indoor tractor pull event, it coincides with the National Farm Machinery Show.

The Championship Tractor Pull, an invite-only event, showcases the best drivers in the nation. Participants compete in crazy performances at the renowned Kentucky Exposition Center's Freedom Hall.

The 2024 edition of the event, scheduled for February 14-17, promises to be bigger than ever. With nearly 200 talented drivers vying for a piece of the substantial $300,000 prize pool, an estimated audience of 80,000 attendees will be in for a spectacle.

Farm Credit Mid-America, with its consistent track record as a premier provider of financial services to the agricultural community across multiple states, secured this sponsorship for a span of three years. It won over Kentucky Venues through a rigorous bidding process.

With operations spanning Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, and Tennessee, the customer-owned cooperative is deeply connected to the farming sector.

Mark Barker, Senior VP of Agricultural Lending for Farm Credit Mid-America in Kentucky, expressed his enthusiasm, "The Championship Tractor Pull is a monumental event in rural America. Our long-standing association with the National Farm Machinery Show and the enthusiasm our customers show for this event made this sponsorship a logical step for us."

Since its inception, the Championship Tractor Pull has seen exponential growth. From doubling the participants to increasing prize money from an initial sum of $5,700, the event has come a long way. Moreover, additions like live streaming have expanded its reach. But its core purpose remains unchanged – celebrating the achievements of the agricultural community.

David S. Beck, CEO of Kentucky Venues, welcomed this partnership. He emphasized that the collaboration with Farm Credit Mid-America underlines a commitment to honor agricultural roots while looking to the future. By intertwining urban and rural communities, they aim to showcase their shared vision to a broader audience.

For young enthusiasts interested in the world of agriculture, such partnerships and events offer a fascinating glimpse. They are not just about the thrill of the competition but also about celebrating the spirit of farming and its indomitable community.
