The agriculture industry's backbone is its forward-thinking leaders. To foster this, the American Soybean Association (ASA) presents a unique chance for agriculture-enthusiastic high school seniors.
The Soy Scholarship, granting a generous $7,000, is up for grabs for a student pursuing agriculture in 2024-25 at any recognized college or university. This scholarship is a testament to the strong partnership between ASA and BASF Corporation.
Expressing the significance of this scholarship, ASA President, Daryl Cates (IL) stated, “With agriculture at the forefront of global challenges, nurturing the next generation is paramount. Through this scholarship, we’re championing their academic journey in agriculture.”
Further accentuating this commitment, Scott Kay of BASF mentioned the importance of investing in young minds dedicated to agriculture's evolving challenges.
Since its inception in 2008, the Soy Scholarship has been a beacon for aspiring ag students. Awarded in two parts, totaling $7,000 for the academic year 2023-24, students are expected to uphold academic integrity to avail themselves of the entire scholarship amount. A connection to a state soybean association or ASA member, as a child or grandchild, is essential for eligibility.
Applications are open from Oct. 31 to Dec. 31, 2023. After a rigorous selection by soybean professionals, the fortunate recipient will be unveiled this winter.
