Reflect with us on last year’s soybean crop and make adjustments to your system for the coming year to increase yields and cuts costs by registering to attend a Soybean Production Workshop near you this December.
Producing a good stand of beans is not rocket-science, but some years it can be a challenge. From measuring and adjusting plant populations to comparing foliar fertilizers, Penn State Extension’s On-Farm Soybean Network has provided insight on the best ways to increase yield or save a buck when it comes to soybean production. The first look at this year’s data will be reviewed at the Penn State Extension Soybean Production Workshops, among other hot topics in Soybean Production.
December 13th through December 22nd, Penn State Extension will be hosting four (4) Soybean Production Workshops around the state. These workshops include testimony on local growing conditions in a Growers’ Panel format as well as topics from Penn State On-Farm Research. Join Dr. Greg Roth, Extension Grain Crops Specialist, Del Voight, Extension Agronomy Educator, local Extension Agronomy Educators and fellow producers to discuss planting and cultural management, weed, insect and disease management and harvest and storage considerations. CCA and pesticide credits may be available at each location.
